One of the most popular nights of the season is back this Friday with the return of Buck Night. That means concessions are just $1.00 and beer is only $2.00. Bring the entire family and your friends out to the track for a night of great racing action and affordable family fun. That’s right…hot dogs, brats, hamburgers, cheese curds, fries and more for just a buck!
Racing action will take place in the NASCAR Late Models, Dave’s White Rock MISfitz, Pellitteri Waste Systems Bandits, and Roto Rooter 6Shooters. Thanks to Fink’s Paving of Mt. Horeb the Late Model feature will pay $1000 to win. After this week only two more point nights in the NASCAR Advance Auto Parts Weekly Series remain on the schedule culminating with Season Championship Night on August 19th.
Zack Riddle is the current pointer leader in the NASCAR Late Models with Bobby Wilberg, Shaun Scheel, Stephen Scheel, and Rusty Hansen rounding out the top five. Ray Hellenbrand shows the way in the MISfitz followed by Rick Coppernoll, Mason Hellenbrand, Mike Taylor and Tim Wondrash. In the Bandits it’s Nick Schmidt on top of the leader board followed by Bart Brockmann, Nick Newton, Trent Rueth, and Dave Schmidt.
The Roto Rooter 6Shooters is a true entry level racing division and does not keep point standings. In four races this year, Eric Niemi, Josh Morris, Ronnie Osborne, and Dylan Klinger have won action-packed features.
Pit gates open at 3:30 with practice at 5:00, qualifying at 6:15, and racing at 7:30. Adult admission is $15.00 / Seniors and Whelen Heroes $12.00 / Students 12-17 $8.00, Children 6-11 $5.00 and five and under free. A Family Pass is just $30.00 and includes two adult admissions and up to four students / children.
See you this week at Madison International Speedway where all roads lead to 1122 Sunrise Road just one mile south of Highway 138 two miles east of Oregon or four miles west of Stoughton.
Racers’ Reunion Set for July 29th
All former racers at Madison International Speedway, IMPACT Speedway, Capital Speedway or Oregon Legion Speedway are invited to the speedway on Friday, July 29th. This year’s reunion will be part of a big night of racing featuring the Big 8 Late Models, Mid American Stock Car Series, Upper Midwest Vintage Series, and the High School Racing Association (HSRA).
Former racers will be admitted free but must RSVP in advance to gm@misracing.com. Drivers will have an opportunity to share memories, sign autographs, and be introduced to the crowd while participating in the greeting line for the 48 lap Big 8 Late Model feature.
