One of the most popular nights of the season is back at Madison this week!
This Friday night is Buck Night where all concession items are $1.00 and beer is $2.00. That’s right folks…brats, hot dogs, hamburgers, and more for just a “Buck” along with your favorite Budweiser products for $2.00.
It’s also a night where you will be seeing “double” as all three weekly NASCAR divisions will be racing double features. With over 200 points possible, the chase for the track championship could see major changes in the Late Models, Sportsman, and Bandits. Thanks to a generous sponsor who has come forward, all new 15 day NASCAR licenses for the three divisions will be covered.
Plus fans will get to see the National Doc X Drift Team who will be here having a “meet and greet” before getting on track for a drifting exhibition. Side by side drifting around the speedway at high speeds is guaranteed excitement.
Jeremy Miller is the current point leader in the Whelen All American NASCAR Late Model division. Miller leads with 491 points which is just 21 ahead of defending champion Bobby Wilberg. Zack Riddle (462), Michael Bilderback (431), and Will Rece (400) round out the top five. In five races in 2017 the division still has not seen a repeat feature winner as Miller, Rece, Bilderback, Brian Beale, and Riddle have all taken the checkered flag. Riddle also leads the RA Heating and Air Conditioning Dash Series with 27 points.
The United Race Fans of Wisconsin Ultimate Challenge is up to $800 for Friday’s first Late Model feature. The Late Model fast qualifier will have first option to start at the back of the field to try to win the money. If the fast qualifier doesn’t take the challenge, the second quickest will have the choice. If that driver passes up the opportunity, it will then be the driver who is third fastest who will get the option.
Defending champion Robert Hansberry Jr. leads the way in the Dave’s White Rock Sportsman in 2017. Fueled by four feature wins, Hansberry Jr. has 578 points which puts him 60 points ahead of Mike Taylor (518) who has one featue win. Ray Hellenbrand (469), Bryan Hellenbrand (428), and Tim Wondrash (427) complete the top five. Hansberry Jr. is also the point leader in the RA Heating and Air Conditioning Dash Series with 27 points.
Dave Schmidt leads the field of Bandits with 462 points powered by two feature wins. Former champion Dan Snyder is in second with 412 points followed by McKayla Adams (408), Jeremy Bredeson (366), and Bill Kohn (332). Steve Dickson and Snyder have also picked up feature wins. Schmidt is the leader in the RA Heating and Air Conditioning Dash Series with a 17-14 advantage over Snyder and Dickson.
