After last week’s rainout, drivers and fans are even more eager to see the green flag wave for the Whelen All American Weekly Racing Series at Madison and the return of Buck Night.

This Friday night features two weekly divisions, the Whelen All American NASCAR Late Models and Dave’s White Rock Sportsman in action along with a pair of visiting divisions, the Hobby Stocks and Midwest Compact Touring Series. Adding to this exciting racing program is Buck Night featuring concession items for $1.00 and beer for $2.00.

An outstanding field of drivers is expected for the season opener for the Late Models including several past champions led by Bobby Wilberg and a solid field of newcomers. Three-time track champion Robert Hansberry Jr. leads the way for Sportsman division. The four cylinder Midwest Compact Touring Series will be competing in the Badger 25 on the half-mile before heading to the Jefferson Speedway on Saturday night. The “big cars” take to the “Ring of Fire” when the Hobby Stocks compete in Round One of the Benninger Concrete Meets Steel Series. Benninger Concrete has put up $500 bonus money for the top five overall combined finishers in the two race series. The second race will be August 4th when the Badgerland Challenge comes to Madison for their final round.

It’s a perfect way to begin your Memorial Day weekend: an outstanding racing program, great deals on food and drink, and all in a family-friendly environment. Fans are reminded to take advantage of family pricing with a $30.00 ticket good for two adults and up to four students and / or children.

Pit gates open at 3:30 with practice at 5:00, qualifying at 6:20 and the first race at 7:30.
