This Friday night at Madison International Speedway is the first of three Buck Nights where all concessions are just $1.00 and beer is only $2.00. But on the track things will be even better as Round One of the Racing for Autism Badgerland Challenge comes to town with Late Model and Sportsman action plus Bandits, Hobby Stocks, and the four cylinder Midwest Compact Series.
This year’s Racing for Autism Badgerland Challenge is a four race series between Madison and Jefferson. After this Friday’s race, the series will visit Jefferson on June 16th, return to Madison on August 3rd, and crown champions at Jefferson on August 25th. The pair of Badgerland Challenge events at Madison will count for weekly Madison points plus separate points will be maintained for all four races in order to crown champions.
Last year Bobby Wilberg (Late Models) and Mike Taylor (Sportsman) picked up the wins at Madison while Dale Nottestad (Late Models) and Terry Wangsness (Sportsman) took home the overall series titles. It was the second crown for both Nottestad and Wangsness in the three year history.
The Pellitteri Waste Systems Bandits will be in action on the Ring of Fire as will the “big” cars, the visiting Hobby Stocks.
The four cylinder Midwest Compact Series will bring drivers from five states to battle it out on Wisconsin’s Fastest Half-Mile. Over twenty drivers are pre-entered to compete in the Badger Cup.
Pit gates open at 3:30 with practice at 4:45, qualifying at 6:15 and racing at 7:30.
Super Late Models Return on June 1st
It will be Round One of the Super Late Model Triple Crown Challenge coming up on Friday, June 1st. The Midwest Trucks will return for their second appearance of the season at Madison along with the Central States Region Super Cups and the season debut of the Roto Rooter 6Shooters.
This will be the seventh year of the “Challenge” at Madison. Dan Fredrickson came away with the Triple Crown Championship in 2017 with 50 lap feature wins going to Fredrickson, Rich Bickle Jr., and Paul Shafer Jr.
First of Three Kids’ Nights Set for June 8th
Kids’ Night is back at Madison on Friday, June 8th with all kids (11 and under) admitted free for a night of fun to celebrate the end of another school year. A $1000 coin scramble will take place on the track during intermission plus their will be special activities for the young fans throughout the night.
The NASCAR Late Models, Dave’s White Rock Sportsman, Pellitteri Waste Systems Bandits, and the Bandoleros will all be in action.

This year’s ARCA Racing Series will once again feature some of the top young talented drivers many of whom will be making their first-ever appearance at Madison. Here’s your opportunity to save some money.
Discounted tickets for the Friday, June 15 Herr’s Potato Chips 200 ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards are now on sale at 27 Menards stores across southern Wisconsin and northern Illinois.
The offer for discounted tickets will remain in place up through June 14. Tickets purchased at participating Menards stores are available for just $20, which is $10 off the raceday gate price of $30. Kids 6 – 11 are just $10 at the track gate. Kids 5 and under are free.
This will be ARCA’s tenth visit to Madison and once again will feature live pit stops on the frontstretch along with a pre-race autograph session. Austin Theriault took home the checkered flag in last year’s event.
