Robinson, Schneider, Haseleu, Rubeck and Flanagan Also Win

Brent Edmunds won both 30 lap features for the Late Models and in doing so increased his points lead in the division. Waylon Robinson and Nick Schneider (Dave’s White Rock MISfitz), Gracie Flanagan (HSRA), plus Nathan Haseleu and Steve Rubeck (UMVRS) all went home with checkered flags tonight. In fact, Flanagan notched two wins and now has four in a row in the HSRA.

It was all part of an awesome night of family fun and Bobcat of Janesville Racers’ Reunion Night that featured “Big Foot” and “Ghost” in the Monster Truck Showdown presented by Pellitteri Waste Systems, and a $1000 coin scramble for the kids.

Edmunds Wins Twice in Late Models

After starting ninth and eleventh, Brent Edmunds won both 30 lap features tonight for the Late Models and increased his lead in the point standings while doing so. He now has 909 points with Shaun Scheel in second with 875 and Jake Gille a close third with 865.

Edmunds Holds Off Jake Gille in First Feature

Edmunds held off Gille to win the first 30 lap feature.

Blake Nottestad and Ryan Goldade led the sixteen car field to the green flag. Goldade quickly jumped out front followed by Nottestad, Bobby Wilberg, and Pat Richgels. A backstretch solo spin on lap 3 brought out the first caution flag.

Goldade paced the field back to the green flag with Nottestad and Wilberg chasing him followed by Colton Morgan and Jake Gille. The second caution flag came out on lap 6 for a car that spun into the infield.

Once again Goldade ushered the field back to green with Nottestad, Wilberg, Morgan, and Gille the leader. On lap 11 Wilberg passed Nottestad on the inside for the second spot. On lap 13 Wilberg drifted high coming out of turn two which allowed both Nottestad and Gille to move up to second and third. On lap 15 Edmunds passed Wilberg for fourth with Shaun Scheel passing Wilberg for fifth one lap later.

Out front Goldade was increasing his lead to 1.1 seconds over Gille with ten laps to go. Gille continued to cut into Goldade’s lead until a slowing car brought out the caution flag with eight laps to go and things were about to change.

Time for a double file restart. Both Goldade and Edmunds elected to line up on the inside while Edmunds and Nottestad took the outside spots. Goldade and Edmunds raced side by side with Gille close behind. With six laps to go Edmunds was able to jump out to the lead and quickly opened up a three car length lead over Gille while Goldade and Scheel were fighting it out for third.

Gille was able to close the gap to a half car length on the last lap, but he didn’t have enough time to catch Edmunds who picked up the win. Scheel finished third followed by Carter Nilson and Goldade.

“That was probably the hardest race I’ve won. I could see the 50 (Gille) coming,” said Edmunds from victory lane.

Edmunds Makes It Two in a Row

It was two for two for Brent Edmunds tonight at Madison. He now has four wins in 2026 and nine Late Model victories in his Madison career.

Wilberg and Mueller had the honors of bringing the field to the green flag. Wilberg leaped out to the lead as the top six were in straight alignment before they passed the flag stand for the first time. The top four of Wilberg, Mueller, Nottestad, and Richgels broke away from the back on lap 3. On lap 5 Scheel and Edmunds worked their way up to fifth and sixth. Out front Mueller was applying pressure on Wilberg with Nottestad on the outside looking inside. On lap 9 Mueller pulled to the inside of Wilberg to take the lead with Nottestad moving into second a lap later. Edmunds powered past Wilberg for third on lap 12 and four laps later passed Nottestad for second.

At this point, Mueller had a one second lead over Edmunds but it was quickly diminishing and with ten laps to go was down to three and a half car lengths. With eight laps to go Edmunds was on Mueller’s rear bumper and would take the lead on lap 24. There was no denying Edmunds who cruised to victory lane over Mueller while Nottestad, Scheel, and Colton Morgan completed the top five.

“To get two wins is just awesome. We made some adjustments and this car is really good,” said Edmunds.

Scheel had fast time with a lap of 19.075 (94.364 mph).

Waylon Robinson and Nick Schneider Win in MISfitz

Waylon Robinson and Nick Schneider each went home with a win in the MISfitz tonight. Schneider is the new points leader in the division with a 742-730 advantage over Kenny Storkson with Robinson sitting in third with 713.

Robinson Holds Off Schneider for MISfitz Checkered Flag

Waylon Robinson held off Nick Schneider to win the first 20 lap feature for the Dave’s White Rock MISfitz.

Mike Beyer took the early lead over Dave Edwards while Nick Schneider up to challenge Edwards for second. On lap 3 Waylon Robinson joined the top four who were breaking away from the field. On lap 5 Schneider found room to get to the inside of Edwards to take second.

The caution flag waved on lap 6 for two cars that spun back in the pack. Beyer paced the field back to green and once again Schneider was right there to challenge for the top spot. Schneider grabbed the lead on lap 7 with Robinson and Edwards passing Beyer one lap later.

Robinson tried to get by on the low side on lap 12 with no success. It appeared that if Robinson was going to get the lead he was going to have to get by Schneider on the high side. With five laps to go Robinson tried once again, but couldn’t quite get the job done. With two laps to go Robinson got to the inside of Schneider to take the lead and held him off the rest of the way to pick up the win. Finishing behind the top two were Edwards, Beyer, and Kenny Storkson.

“I tried about every trick in the book…inside, outside. It feels good to get another one here at Madison,” said Robinson. It was his second win in the division in 2026.

Number Four for Nick Schneider

For the fourth time in 2026, Nick Schneider found his way to victory lane in the second 20 lap feature. He now has six career feature wins on Wisconsin’s Fastest Half-Mile.

Scott Getzloff and McKayla Adams paced the field to the green flag with Getzloff getting the early lead. On lap 3 Brandon Liddle took the lead albeit for only for a short time as Schneider took the point on lap 4. One lap later Robinson moved into second ahead of Liddle and the top two began sailing away from the field. A spin on lap 10 brought out the caution flag.

Schneider and Robinson lined up side by side for the restart with Schneider continuing his leading ways. With five laps to go Robinson had closed the gap to a single car length but time was starting to expire. At this point, Robinson had already cashed in his two mulligans. He was able to keep it close, but this time Schneider would not be denied as he took the win with Robinson finishing second. Liddle, Mike Beyer, and Kyle Wahlgren rounded out the top five.

“This is the best class. It’s a lot of fun,” said Schneider.

Storkson set fast time with a trip of 19.886 (90.516 mph).

Fan Favorite Gracie Flanagan Picks Up Two Wins in HSRA

Gracie Flanagan jumped out to the early lead over Kennedy Krueger and never looked back as she cruised to her third and fourth straight win this year and the seventh in her Madison racing career.

In the first feature, Flanagan jumped out to the early lead over Kennedy Krueger and never looked back as Krueger finished second with Addison Hawn taking third.

“I want to thank all of my family for coming out tonight,” said Flanagan from victory lane.

Krueger led the second feature for the first four laps before Flanagan sprinted by to take the lead and before you knew it she was ahead by six car lengths, and It was lights out after that as the speedy Flanagan once again raced to victory lane.

Krueger set a new track record with a lap of 15.953 (56.416 mph).

A Couple Familiar Names Back in Victory Lane at Madison

Nathan Haseleu and Steve Rubeck were back in victory lane after each driver won a 12 lap feature for the Upper Midwest Vintage Racing Series.

Nathan Haseleu won the first twelve lap feature.

Eric Melchior and Steve Rubeck brought the field to the green flag with Melchior taking a slight lead after the first lap. On lap 4 Tom Elsinger dove to the inside to take the lead before surrendering the top spot to Steve Rubeck. On lap 6 Nate Haseleu went to the inside of Rubeck coming out of turn two to take the lead. Haseleu and Rubeck wasted no time breaking away from the field, but despite his best effort Rubeck would not have enough time to catch the speedy Haseleu.

But this race was all Haseleu’s who picked up the checkered flag followed by Rubeck, Elsinger, Melchior, and Todd Otis.

“I love this race track and I’ve had a lot of fun here over the years,” said Haseleu who was driving a Keith Reamer #32 tribute car. It was his 36th all-time win at Madison.

In the second twelve lap feature, Melchior and Rubeck raced side by side for the first trip around the track with Melchoir getting the win. On lap 4 Elsinger took the lead with Rubeck on his rear bumper and Haseleu closing fast on the leaders. Rubeck worked his way to the outside of Elsinger on lap 8 to take the lead.

But charging up to challenge Rubeck was Haseleu who closed the gap to a car length but wouldn’t have enough time to capture the checkered flag.

“Nate and I had a heck of a battle back here in 2008 so it was fun to do it again tonight,” said Rubeck who was driving a Don Leach tribute car.
