Schneider, Storkson, Karr, McKeown, Cain and Slater also Victorious

Eight races…eight different winners at Madison International Speedway. When it was all said and done, Bobby Wilberg and Brent Edmunds (Late Models), Nick Schneider and Kenny Storkson (Dave’s White Rock MISfitz), Cael Slater and Lincoln Cain (Legends), plus Noah Karr / Colin McKeown (Roto Rooter 6 Shooters) all went home winners tonight.  For Slater, Karr, and McKeown it was their first ever wins at Madison.

Bobby Wilberg Returns to Late Model Victory Lane

For the third time this season and the 79th overall at Madison, Bobby Wilberg won the 30 lap feature for the Late Models.

Jerry Mueller jumped out to the early lead followed by Wilberg and Jake Gille.  On lap 4 Carter Nilson worked past Gille for the third spot.  One lap later Wilberg shot past Mueller for the lead.

On lap 7 the cars of Blake Nottestad and Shaun Scheel got together on the front shoot bringing out the caution flag.  Scheel was able to continue while Nottestad was towed to the pits.

Wilberg paced the field back to green and quickly picked up a three length lead over Mueller and Nilson.  On lap 9 Nilson cleared Mueller for second while Brent Edmunds and Gille were in a tight battle for fourth. Mueller would pull off one lap later which allowed Edmunds to move into third.

At the half-way mark Wilberg’s lead was five lengths over Nilson.  With ten laps to go the difference was down to one car length just before the caution flag came out when Scheel made contact with the outside wall coming out of turn four.

Wilberg lined up inside while Nilson elected the outside with Edmunds and Gille in the second row. Wilberg was able to retain his lead with Edmunds trying to take second before a spin brought out the caution flag with eight laps to go.

Wilberg and Nilson were side by side for the first lap before Wilberg was able to gain the advantage when another caution flag waved. Another restart found Wilberg and Nilson side by side before Wilberg was able to clear him for the lead.

With three laps to go Edmunds took over the second spot from Nilson while Wilberg was opening up a three car length lead and never looked back.  Edmunds finished second followed by Nilson, Gille, and Max Larson.

“We’ve been working on this car a lot,” said Wilberg who also took time to thank his crew and sponsors.

Another Win for Brent Edmunds

Brent Edmunds secured his lead in the points race by winning the second thirty lap feature for the Late Models.  It was his fifth win of the 2026 season.

Rookie Tyler Harding and Pat Richgels ushered the field to the green flag. Harding led the first lap before the caution flag waved for a spin. He led the field back to green with Richgels on his rear bumper.  On lap 3 Richgels took the lead coming out of turn four with Colton Morgan setting his sights on second.   On lap 5 Morgan would grab the second spot with Gille up to third on lap 6 and Carter Nilson to fourth on lap 6.

The top four were nose to tail before Morgan was able to the lead on lap 9.  Jake Gille worked past Richgels for second on lap 10 with Nilson and Edmunds up to third and fourth one lap later.

The caution flag came out on lap 12 for a spin.  Morgan continued to lead after the green flag waved, but Gille, Nilson, and Edmunds were in hot pursuit.  Edmunds moved into third on lap 15.  While Gille and Edmunds were fighting it out for second it allowed Morgan to increase his lead before a spin brought out the caution flag with ten laps to go.

It was now double file restart time.  Morgan on the inside and Edmunds outside.  It didn’t take long before Edmunds was able to get out front and with seven laps to go had a six car length advantage.  With six laps to go Nilson passed Gille for third with Harding running fifth behind Gille.

On the final lap Nilson was able to overtake Morgan for second, but nobody would be able to catch Edmunds who picked up another win on Wisconsin’s Fastest Half-Mile.

“The car’s been pretty good.  I didn’t think it was as good as it should’ve been, but it was good enough,” said Edmunds.

Fast qualifier was Brent Edmunds with a time of 19.109 (94.196 mph). Edmunds is the current points leader with 1117 followed by Gille (1031), Nilson (986), Scheel (945) and Wilberg (942).

Nick Schneider Does It Again

For the fifth time this season, Nick Schneider won the 20 lap feature for the Dave’s White Rock MISfitz.

It was McKayla Adams and Brian Ulrich who paced the field to the green flag.  Ulrich quickly jumped out to the lead with Kevin Anderson and Brandon Liddle up to second and third before the first lap was in the books.  On lap 3 Nick Schneider moved into third with Waylon Robinson up to fourth.  On lap 5 Schneider and Robinson both powered by Anderson to take second and third.  On lap 7 Schneider took the lead with Robinson running side by side for second with Ulrich.

Schneider and Robinson pulled away from the field racing side by side.  The first caution flag of the night came out on lap 15 for a spin back in the pack would slow the momentum of the leaders and set up a double file restart.

Schneider lined up on the inside with Robinson on the outside with Schneider gaining a slight advantage running the inside lane.  On the final lap Robinson gave it his best shot, but Schneider would hold him off for the win.  Dave Edwards finished third followed by Brian Ulrich and James Swan.

“This car has been on a roll.  This is so much fun,” said Schneider from victory lane.

There’s No Stopping Kenny Storkson

It was the exact opposite of last week’s second feature for Kenny Storkson.  A week ago he left the race early due to a flat tire, but tonight was different as the second generation driver was on a mission and won his second 20 lap feature of the year.

McKayla Adams and Kenny Storkson comprised the front row.  Storkson jumped out to the early lead with James Swan and Dave Edwards running second and third. On lap 6 Scheider moved to the inside of Edwards to battle it out for third.  On lap 8 Schneider won the battle for third shortly before a spin brought out the caution flag.

Storkson continued his leading ways after the restart with Swan in second followed by Schneider, Robinson, and Edwards.  Schneider passed Swan for second on lap 12 with Robinson moving into third one lap later.

Storkson’s lead was shrinking but time was running out on Schneider. But there was no denying Storkson who picked up the win over Schneider with Robinson, Edwards, and Swan rounding out the top five.

He was joined in victory lane by family, friends, and sponsors.

Waylon Robinson set fast time with a lap of 19.898 (90.461 mph). Schneider continues to be the points leader with a 37 point lead over Storkson with Robinson 39 points back in the standings.

Lincoln Cain Best of the Legends

For the second time in 2026, Lincoln Cain took home the checkered flag in the Slater Racing Legends after winning the 20 lap feature.  It was his fifth straight win at Madison going back to 2024.

Dalton Lee and Tyler Edmundson had the honors of bringing the Legends to the green flag.  Lee sprinted out to the early lead followed by Bentley Thompson, Edmundson, and Ryan Laatsch.  On lap 4 Devon Lee moved up to third followed by Lincoln Cain.  Cain moved in to third one lap later.  On lap 11 Thompson took the lead with Cain looking to his inside for the lead.  On lap 12 Cain powered past Thompson for the lead and wasted no time opening up an eight car length advantage.

Behind Cain, Cael Slater moved into second with two laps to go but time was running out and he wouldn’t have enough time to catch Cain who picked up the win.  Slater was second followed by Devon Lee, Thompson, and Carter Stein.

Cael Slater Gets First Madison Win

After coming up short in the first feature, Slater picked up the win in the second 20 lap Legends feature.  It was his first ever win at Madison.

Ryan Laatsch and Carter Stein showed the way in the second feature.  Laatsch led the first lap with Stein taking the lead on the second lap.  Cael Slater was up to third on lap 4 and on lap 5 moved into second followed by Lincoln Cain.

Out front Stein’s lead was five lengths over Slater who was under pressure from Cain.  Slater was cutting into Stein’s lead and with seven laps to go the lead was down to one car length over Slater.  With one lap to go Slater passed Stein for the lead and would hang on for his first-ever win at Madison.  Cain finished third followed by Devon Lee and Bentley Thompson.

Lincoln Cain was fast qualifier with a lap of 13.758 (65.416 mph).  Cain is the current point leader with just a four point lead over Slater.

Noah Karr Tops the 6Shooters

Noah Karr won the first 15 lap feature for the Roto Rooter 6Shooters.  It was his first-ever win at Madison.

Randy Grancorvitz and Colin McKeown led the field to the green flag.  Grancorvitz jumped out front before McKeown wrestled the lead away from him only to lose the top spot to Noah Karr on lap 2.  Karr was quickly challenged by Dylan Klinger with Josh Zacharias up to third on lap 6.

The top three remained in that order with Karr and Klinger breaking away from the pack.   Despite a strong late race challenge from Klinger, Karr was able to hold him off to take home the coveted checkered flag.

Colin McKeown a First Time Winner at Madison

Colin McKeown won the second 15 lap feature for the Roto Rooter 6Shooters.  It was his first ever win at Madison.

Gene Robbins led the field to the green flag and jumped out to the early lead with Colin McKeown up to challenge followed by Nick Lorenz, Josh Zacharias, and Dylan Klinger.  On lap 5 McKeown grabbed the lead and held the top spot for a lap before a spin brought out the caution flag on lap 6.

McKeown brought the field back to green followed by Robbins and Lorenz. With five laps to go, McKeown’s lead was up to six car lengths, but Nick Lorenz was closing the gap.  McKeown continued to run strong out front and with one lap to go had built a four car length advantage and cruised the rest of the way to victory lane.

“My dad won back here in the Sixers.  This means so much to me,” said McKeown who recalled his days coming to the track watching racers like Bobby Wilberg.

Klinger leads the points race with 672 followed by Zacharias (657) and Christopher Webb and Karr each at 642.
