Big Rigs Take Over Wisconsin’s Fastest Half-Mile this Friday Night

Story Image

This Friday night the Bandit Big Rig Series returns to Madison International Speedway for their second ever visit this Friday night. See the “Iron Giants of the Asphalt” racing at high speeds around Wisconsin’s Fastest Half-Mile. That’s right you’ll see Volvos, Peterbilts, Macks, Western Stars, and Freightliners racing side by side. A solid field of “truckers” are expected to make the journey to Madison.

Tommy Boileau made the long haul from Colorado in 2017 to pick up the checkered flag in the 25 lap feature. The ground will shake as these big rigs race around the half-mile at speeds approaching 100 mph.

Fans are invited to check out the Kids’ Zone, Vendor Row, and Fan Series Truck Show. All kids 8 and under are free.

Race gates will open at 3:00 PM with a Bandit Meet and Greet from 5:00 – 6:15 PM with racing slated to begin at 7:00 PM.

If you were here in 2017 you definitely want to be here this Friday. If you missed it two seasons ago, it’s your time to redeem yourself. For more information visit the series website at banditseries.com.
