This Friday night (August 28th) at Madison International Speedway is Scout Night presented by Frontier Servco FS with hundreds of scouts expected to make their way to the speedway for a night of fun.
The racing action on Friday will include twin features for the NASCAR Whelen All American Late Models and the Pellitteri Waste Systems Bandits. The make-up features from August 14th will be the first events of the night and will be followed by the complete weekly racing program including dashes, heats, and features. The Dave’s White Rock Sportsman will be on track plus the Central States Super Cups will be here.
But it gets better…the School Bus Jump is also scheduled for this Friday night!
Once again we encourage all of you to come to the pits after the races and meet the drivers, get autographs, etc. Kids should also sign up for exciting prizes at the Turn Four Kids’ Club and stop by DJ’s to play the “Spin to Win” game.
Championship Chase Update
Zack Riddle has a slight lead over Dale Nottestad 755-737 in the Whelen All American Late Model standings. Jeremy Miller is third in the standings with 620 points followed by John Beale (587) and Kevin Knuese (577). With three features remaining on the 2015 schedule much can happen in the points chase.
Defending champion Ryan Goldade continues to lead the Dave’s White Rock Sportsman with an 964-921 advantage over Robert Hansberry. Steve Anderson is in third place (774) followed by Mike Taylor (752) and Ray Hellenbrand (664).
Dan Snyder is looking to make it two straight championships in the Pellitteri Waste Systems Bandits. Snyder leads with 1002 points followed by Nick Schmidt (957), Brandon DeLacy (905), Steve Dickson (902) and David Schmidt (865). There are three features remaining on the Bandits schedule so the championship chase will definitely go down to the final night.

Friday Night Rewind
Congratulations to Ty Majeski who won Friday night’s Howie Lettow Memorial 50 as part of the Super Late Model Triple Crown Challenge. Majeski won the first and third legs of the series this year, but he failed to start the second race in July after suffering mechanical issues in the Dash.
Jeremy Miller is this year’s Super Late Model Triple Crown Challenge winner followed in the standings by Paul Shafer Jr. and Majeski. Miller joins an impressive list of winners including Chris Wimmer, Casey Johnson, and Nathan Haseleu.
Miller also totaled twelve points in the B and B Lawncare Dash to win the overall points in that series.
Congratulations to feature winners Chester Ace and Tommy Pecaro in the American Ethanol Super Trucks, Nick Schmidt in the Bandits, and Jim Ronspiez in the ten car 6Shooters field. The truck races featured exciting side by side racing while the Bandits put on a great show with Nick Schmidt getting a well-deserved win. Ronspiez won the feature in his first time ever on the Ring of Fire.

Hall of Fame Class of 2015
It’s time now to nominate individuals for our next class of the MIS Hall of Fame. The nominations will remain open until August 21st with winners announced on September 4th.
Here is the link to make your nomination: misracing.com/mis-hall-of-fame-nomination-form/
There are so many worthy individuals for the Hall of Fame we are really looking for your suggestions. Remember it can be drivers, owners / promoters, track officials, car owners, etc. Our website does have listing of past track champions and all-time feature winners. However, the information is far from complete as we have very little from support divisions in the seventies and eighties and not many records prior to 1969. This is where we need your help.
Season Championships on September 4th
The final race of the weekly racing program will be held on Friday, September 4th with Whelen Engineering Championship Night with track champions crowned in our three weekly NASCAR divisions. Extended features will take place in all three divisions. Join us as we celebrate the 2015 racing season.
