Woodville, WI – The Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA Midwest Tour presented by Five Star Race Car Bodies will be back in action in July with two historical events in Iowa and Wisconsin.

The stars and cars will travel to Cedar Rapids, IA on Saturday, July 11th for the Miller 100 at the famous Hawkeye Downs Speedway. One of two asphalt tracks in the Hawkeye state.

Last year, four-time Midwest Tour champion Casey Johnson made his first visit to the half-mile oval, a special one as he took home the win over defending two-time winner and two-time Tour champion Gabe Sommers.

The Miller 100 event has been a mainstay at Hawkeye Downs dating back to 1973, with a list of great short track drivers visiting victory lane. Drivers like Steve Carlson, new NASCAR Hall of Famer Larry Phillips, Johnny Spaw, and Steve Holzhausen. Ty Majeski is a three-time winner.

Interesting note about this event: in the last three years, the driver who won this event has gone on to win the Midwest Tour title.

After the trip to Iowa, the stars and cars will make their second visit to Madison International Speedway in Oregon, WI for the 11th running of the Howie Lettow Classic 100 on Friday, July 24th.

Casey Johnson will be looking for this fourth Lettow victory in an event that runs on the track’s traditional Friday night of racing action.

The race honors the famous and successful short track crew chief Howie Lettow, who prepared cars for some of the famous drivers like Jimmie Johnson, Steve Holzhausen, Scott Hansen, Ted Musgrave, Steve Carlson, Stephen Leicht, Tony Raines, Kelly Bires, Travis Dassow, Blake Brown, and many more.

Tickets for both events are on sale now at midwesttour.racing.

Make your plans now to be a part of both events by seeing them live and in person, along with a chance to meet the top drivers in the Appalachian Sucker Punch ASA Midwest Tour presented by Five Star Race Car Bodies.
