Two bands of rain came through Madison International Speedway today ending any hopes of ARCA Racing Series qualifying or the American Ethanol Super Truck Twin 30’s.
Speedway officials watched the radar closely as a large band of rain had been moving towards the track most of the early part of the day. After the first session of ARCA practice was completed, the skies opened up. Once the rain stopped the process of drying the track began and by 4:00 it appeared that truck practice was just minutes away. Unfortunately, a second cell brought more rain and ended any hopes of racing.
The American Ethanol Super Trucks will now run Twin 30’s on Friday, August 29th as part of Season Championship Night at Madison.
Plans are all set for racing tomorrow at Madison with the Blake Rayne concert at 11:30 AM, on-track autographs at noon, and the Herr’s Live Life with Flavor 200 at 2:00 PM. ARCA cars will start the feature based on their current point standings.
