Super Late Model Triple Crown Challenge is Friday Night

 

Round Two of Super Late Model Triple Crown Challenge this Friday at MIS

It’s the second round of the Super Late Model Triple Crown Challenge this Friday night (July 11) at Madison International Speedway.  Racing action will also include the Dave’s White Rock Sportsman and Pellitteri Waste Systems Bandits.

The Super Late Model Triple Crown Challenge race will be 100 laps and pays $4000 to the winner ($2000 to the runner-up) and $450 to start.

Dave Feiler topped a field of eighteen cars and won the first round of the “Challenge” on May 30th.  Feiler took the lead on lap 20 and held off hard chargers Casey Johnson and Chris Wimmer to take home the checkered flag.   Feiler also turned the fastest lap of the season at MIS in qualifying with a trip of 17.288 (104.118 mph).

Super Late Model Triple Crown Challenge Payout:  1-11:  $4000, $2000, $1000, $900, $800, $750, $700, $650, $600, $550, $500             11-20:  $475            21-beyond:  $450

It’s a tight points race for the Dave’s White Rock Sportsman coming into this week with Kody Hubred holding the lead with 571-562 advantage over Ryan Goldade.  Will Rece (550), Matt Lundberg (484), and Jason Dunn (449) round out the top five.  The action in the Sportsman division has been very competitive this year and Friday night’s race will feature much of the same side by side action.

Two young Stoughton area drivers, Brandon DeLacy and Dan Snyder, lead the way in the points chase for the Pellitteri Waste Systems Bandits.  DeLacy tops the standings with 558 points while Snyder is just fifteen behind at 543.

Pit gates open at 3:30 with practice at 4:45, qualifying at 6:00, opening ceremonies at 7:15 and racing at 7:30.  Adult admission is $15.00 with students (12-17) and seniors (60+) at $13.00 and kids eleven and under are free.
