Start Your Engines: It’s Race Day at Madison

It’s time to go racing at Madison International Speedway today with the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards and the Herr’s Live Life with Flavor 200.  After rain washed out yesterday’s qualifying, the twenty-eight car field will line up by points.

The day’s activities begin with a live concert on track with Blake Rayne at 11:30 AM followed by an on-track autograph session from Noon-1:00.  Driver introductions begin at 1:30 PM with the race at 2:00 PM.

Saturday ARCA Jam Events Rained Out

Two bands of rain came through Madison International Speedway today ending any hopes of ARCA Racing Series qualifying or the American Ethanol Super Truck Twin 30’s.

Speedway officials watched the radar closely as a large band of rain had been moving towards the track most of the early part of the day.  After the first session of ARCA practice was completed, the skies opened up.  Once the rain stopped the process of drying the track began and by 4:00 it appeared that truck practice was just minutes away.  Unfortunately, a second cell brought more rain and ended any hopes of racing

ARCA Jam at Madison…The Time is Now

ARCA Jam is finally here at Madison International Speedway as 30 teams will be making their way to Wisconsin’s Fastest Half-Mile, many for the first time.

Two days of exciting racing action that also includes our very own American Ethanol Super Trucks gets started at 1:00 PM this afternoon with a pair of practice sessions for both the cars and the trucks.

Qualifying is set for 4:30 PM with the ARCA cars on tap first.  The ARCA track record of 18.039 could be in jeopardy today as some of the top drivers in the country wheel their way around the half-mile at Madison.  Will it be last year’s winner Kyle Benjamin or the legendary Frank Kimmel or one of the many young stars of the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards who sets the fast pace.

Following qualifying the American Ethanol Super Trucks will be competing in Twin 30 lap races. This will be a points event for the trucks who race regularly at Madison.  The overall finishing positions and points will be determined by the combined finish in the two races.  Blake Brown is the current Madison point leader in the truck division.

After the truck races the pre-race party begins in the VIP area.  The party includes live entertainment, the Bristol race on big screen televisions, and all you can eat and drink.  A special ticket is required for the party.  An all-inclusive $40.00 ticket is available that includes the party and two days of racing.  Fans who purchased an $18.00 two day pass can pay $22.00 for the party while a ticket purchase at Menards can be upgraded for $20.00.
