Fireworks, Monster Trucks, and Fun for All this Friday at Madison

It’s going to be a wild and crazy Friday night this week at Madison International Speedway with the second annual Eve of Destruction on tap featuring a gigantic fireworks display from Thundercat plus a variety of unique activities on track. What’s even better is the fact that just about anyone can be part of the show too.

You’ll see Monster Trucks plus a School Bus Destruction. You’ll hold your breath for the dangerous Double Steel Wall crash and the excitement of the Roll Over contest. There’s also several opportunities for you to be part of the entertainment. The 6Shooters will be battling it out on the “Ring of Fire” in a pair of feature races. Drifting action will take place on both the half-mile and quarter-mile. Plus Vertical Mischief returns with their motorcycles.

Bring your truck and compete in the Tough Truck Tug of War contest or enter your car or truck in the Smoky Burnout contest or compete in the One on One Spectacular drags on the “Ring of Fire.”

Fans of all ages will enjoy the World Famous Klement’s Racing Sausages who will be making their first-ever appearance at Madison.

There’s many more surprises on tap this Friday before the best fireworks show around closes out a great night of family fun and entertainment.

Family pricing for this event is just $40.00 which includes two adults and up to four students or children. Adult tickets are $18.00 with Seniors / Whelen Heroes (Military / Police / Fire / EMS) at $16.00 / Students 12-17 at $10.00 / Children 6-11 are $5.00 / Kids under 5 are free.

The excitement begins at 7:30 PM so arrive early to get a good seat. It’s going to be a wild one this Friday night.

Looking Back at Friday Night

Congratulations to our 2016 NASCAR Track Champions: Bobby Wilberg in the Club LaMark NASCAR Late Models, Robert Hansberry Jr. in the Dave’s White Rock Sportsman, and Brandon DeLacy in the Pellitteri Waste Systems Bandits. It’s Wilberg’s twelfth championship at Madison while Hansberry Jr. picked up his third crown and DeLacy won his first title.

Feature winners on Friday night were John Beale and Ty Majeski in the Late Models, Steve Anderson and Robert Hansberry Jr. in the Sportsman, plus Steve Dickson and Nick Schmidt in the Bandits.

Rookie of the Year winners were Matt Lundberg (Late Models), Trevor Robinson (Sportsman), and Sam Messel (Bandits).

One on One Street Drags Set for September 15th

Our final night of One on One Street Drags / Shine and Show Contest is scheduled for Thursday, September 15th. The response to this new event in 2016 has been overwhelming and we’re looking forward to pushing the 200 mark for competitors. Cars, trucks, vans, ATVs, and motorcycles are welcome because there’s a bracket for just about every vehicle including a high school division.

Pit gates open at 6:00 with practice and grudge racing at 6:30 and street drags beginning at 7:30. Admission is $10.00 plus it’s $10.00 per bracket for competitors.

Come on out to the speedway this Friday night for great family fun and entertainment.
