Badgerland Challenge Notes

Here are some answers to the questions we have been getting, good to see the excitement for the Badgerland Challenge and we are looking forward to three great events.

NASCAR License
Late Model and Sportsman drivers that are not current NASCAR Members will be provided a 15 day License at NO CHARGE for this event

Madison Points
Yes, this is a point awarding event, ALL competitors will be awarded Madison International Speedway points based on the 2015 MIS Point Table.

Transponders
All cars are required to run a transponder. Transponders are available for rent at the pit gate for $15.

Raceceivers/Scanner
All teams are required to monitor race control via a Raceceiver or scanner.

Badgerland Points
Badgerland Challenge Points will be awarded and kept separate from host track points, the method will be 10 points for Fast qualifier, minus one point per position with a minimum of one point for each qualified driver. Heat races will pay 6 points to winner, minus one point per position, minimum of one point for each competing driver. Feature will pay 50 points to win, minus 2 points per position, minimum 8 points per feature starting driver. Points will be awarded to the driver, not the car.

Tires
Late Models- A minimum of 2 used (max tread depth of 4/32”) must be presented prior to practice on June 19 for approval and marking. Weekly Madison drivers must present two tires from their bank that meet above requirements for June 19. Likewise, Madison weekly drivers will be allowed two new tires to be placed into their bank for this event instead of the standard one tire.

Sportsman Rules
Teams utilizing the Jefferson Speedway directional vane rotor rule will be allowed to run without weight penalty for this item.
