Back to Back Championships for Ryan Goldade

It’s two in a row for Ryan Goldade who was able to successfully defend his track championship in the Dave’s White Rock Sportsman division.

In the division’s ten racing events, Goldade accumulated a total of 1114 points that included six feature wins, five heat wins, seven fast times, and nine top five finishes. He now has nine career Sportsman feature wins at Madison and joins Robert Hansberry Jr. and Jay Kalbus as multi-time champions in the division.

Finishing in the runner-up position in 2015 was Robert Hansberry Jr. who totaled 1079 points and still had a shot at the title going into the final night. His season included a pair of feature wins which gives him six in his career at Madison. He also finished in the top five all ten nights plus added two fast times and a heat win.

Rookie Steve Anderson capped off a solid season with a third place finish in the division with 919 points that included his first-ever feature win, two heat wins, and seven top five finishes.

Mike Taylor notched seven top finishes enroute to his 896 points which was good for fourth place in the division. Rookie Ray Hellenbrand rounded out the top five with 754 points and three top five finishes. Matt Lundberg (545 points) and Darrell Garman (409 points) completed the top seven in overall points. Jason Thoma also took home a feature win in 2015.

The First Supply Dash Series also went down to the final night as Goldade edged Hansberry Jr. by two points, 48-46. Goldade captured the checkered flag in six dash events while Hansberry Jr. picked up one win. Anderson scored one dash victory and finished third overall with 39 points with Taylor (30 points) and Lundberg (16 points) completing the top five.
